I think that is an excellent evaluation of the bloom, Vickie. I have always turned my nose up at Hidden Riches because it was a bonus plant I didn't want. But it is actually an interesting bloom with possibilities as a parent.

This year I will have to decide quickly on my crosses, too. With my new native stingless beehive, as soon as the temperature is warm in the morning, they are straight to the blooms and make off with the pollen. (Not to mention the actual pollinations they are going to be responsible for). But I just love them.

Gleni, BRAVE KEMO SABE- I usually don't go for the purples, but I do like this one. It's striking! I have a feeling my youngest would clamor for adding it to the garden.

I agree the contrast in colors is really an eye-catcher.

Sometimes it looks white but it is more a cream colour I think.

But heavily diamond dusted such that it changes with where you are standing with respect to the direction of the sun rays.

This picture shows the packed diamonds but it is a bit too creamy because my bees have bathed in the pollen and splashed it around (click on the photo to see Cartier of Paris).

Wow Glen! Your daylilies are true beauties! Vickie so accurately described Hidden Riches! Brave Kemo Sabe such nice light and dark contrast, just gorgeous! I just can not get those papaya out of my mind.
That picture of Crowning Fire with the papayas in the background just adds an extra special touch to your photos. It set the stage for me that each time I look at one of your daylilies, it is like a mini vacation! May you be blessed all the days of your life!

From my garden some plainer blooms than Glen's. But still exciting for me.

FFE of TUSCAWILLA TRANQUILITY which is not as white as JUST CELEBRATE but a nice light yellow as per image. Hoped it would lighten by afternoon.
