The problem I see with selling on Facebook is there is no long term way of keeping post pinned to the top so people can bid in an auction setting.
Maybe it works for fixed price, or someone with only a few to sell.
No organized keeping track of sales or buys, no options for billing or collection, and I was told it's a nightmare to collect from everyone that buys.
This last season I will have listed over 1,300 packs of seeds on Mike Longo's Daylily auction by the time I am done, the seeds that sell are listed with each buyer, there is another page for the unsold.
I can keep track of who is paid up, who isn't, all shipping dates, plus feedback, and it also has a message option for questions from buyer or seller.
There is also mediation for problems, limited to what can be done but at least it's a start to attempted resolution.
Any fees to me are a bargain for what I get and the audience I can reach.
What I like about Facebook is that it is a great place to share pictures, ideas, free advertising, etc, these groups are hopping with activity, newbies to established hybridizers, any thing you want to ask or share, someone will reply.
Even a few groups for buyers to share info on sellers, the good or the bad, and at least one group for sellers to compare notes on problem buyers.
For pure organization nothing I have seen yet comes close to Mike Longo's Daylily auction, For sharing information Facebook groups are light years ahead of anything the AHS ever had going, and nobodies the boss

If I saw something I wanted I wouldn't hesitate to buy. My humble opinion of course. Someone name "Bonehead" gave this seller an excellent review. Not sure if it is the same Bonehead here on g.org
