Tee looks like a real nice selection. How do you choose which to give away?

I may have asked this before, but can I plant them regardless of the temperature as long as I can dig in the ground? And do they have a tendency to heave?

My opinion, I would plant them now and mulch. I don't have a heaving problem, so I can't answer that one.

Good choices! Keep them all. Buy dishtowels for the friends.

As long as they are acclimated to the outdoors and the ground has not frozen yet I would think they would be ok. I would watch for frost heave this year but they get strong root systems and they have not heaved up here.

Well, it's going down to 20º tonight so I doubt they are acclimated to that yet so think I'll move them downstairs to the cold end of the garage for a few days and then plant when it's a bit warmer. The warmth mostly for me rather than the hellebores. Green Grin!

Hallson's has some beautiful Coneflowers and they are three year plants for the same price as the one year plants that I've seen on other websites! I am ordering a second 'Hot Papaya', I read that if you have two of the same cultivar you have a better chance of producing viable seed. Wish me luck!! Hilarious!

Bought Caryopteris from Hallson's last year and was happy with it. Be interested to see if the quality carries over to the Echinacea. Thumbs up

I've never ordered from them please let us know how they do. Susan you can get viable seed from hybrid Echinacea but from what I understand they are not true to form.

I started picking out some plants at Bluestone (took the dangling carrot of the pre-season 15% off) - only ones I knew would be hard to find elsewhere, but got so mad at their prices that I dumped 'em all. It's just not going to work, loyalty or none.

Sheryl, I hate the coco pots! Whistling They dry out really fast and the plants are small. It's ok if you pay for small or if you can't afford big, but I still hate the coco pots Sad I think my Gold Standard is dead. It blew off the porch and when I found it it was completely dryed out and the other pots were moist. I did re-pot it into a bigger pot with some good potting soil, I hope my little hosta is OK! Blinking

About Hallson's I will let you all know how the plants are when I get them in the spring. Bob, Even if I don't get any seed that come true, I thought it would look good to have a big clump of red coneflowers. Lovey dubby

Ilovehostas.net I was on this sight again and I noticed something called buy now and pay later so I checked it out and you can select your plants and email the list to them and they reserve the plants for you and when they are shipped in the spring, that is when you pay. Just thought I would mention that. Hilarious!

Now see, I thought that was the law, that they couldn't charge your credit card for your plants until they shipped them. I was there this week, too - for people who have bought from them before they have a 20% off sale for any order $20 and over, until the 31st. Just use the code "20" for the discount at check out.

They can charge the credit card as soon as the order is made. A lot of places say it's to reserve the plants. But most of the big places, like Wayside, charge immediately, and then when they ship 6 months later, and the product is crappy, it's hard to get your money back from the credit card companies.
