Well, I got an email from Hallson's and they are going to ship mid April (like I asked) and will charge my credit card at that time.

I had ordered from Bluestone in past years, but when they raised the prices so much this year I scratched them from my list. I did order from Santa Rosa Gardens a few times last summer. The prices were reasonable and the plants healthy. Once you buy from them, they email you frequent discounts on future orders. They're a watchdog 30 for perennials.

Bluestone's sale prices are usually good enough that I will probably still order a few things. Most will go to Santa Rosa, though. Plants are good, coupons are great, and you can also accumulate points from each purchase. The listing for individual plants shows what the point value is for that one. Those points can be converted to savings off your next purchase even if using coupons, too. Don't remember the conversion rate offhand, but if you are buying frequently, it adds up and is a really good deal. The net bags in which the plants come can be used for all kinds of things, like storing bulbs or even shipping bulbs or other plants if you are sharing later.

Santa Rosa's is real nice company, I haven't gotten my plants yet but I like the way they do business. I got 35% off with the early bird special.

I like Santa Rosa, too. Last year I just discovered Romence Gardens. I got mostly annuals, and a couple perennials. All were great and shipping pretty good.

I ordered a few Heuchera and grasses a couple of years ago and they were nice sized plants . The one that was smaller they sent 2 of to make up for the smaller size , which really was not very small.

I got an email from 'Hostas Direct' they are up and running, now taking orders for spring. I see they have 61 different Heuchera and I put in three orders with them last year, they are great. As a matter of fact, at the end of the season when they had the fall sale, I got eight mature divisions for 3.99 a piece.(hostas) If nothing else, just register with these good companies and they will email you when they are having a sale and some are so good your jaw will just fall open!

No sheryl, I am confused and don't really know what to buy. I like their commitment too Also you can do searches and they have almost every hosta you can think of right in their data base, not just the hostas they sell. I go there for information year round.

Yeah, well.... lots of people love the Eon markers, they just get trashed here, though.

Marilyn, I don't use Paypal anymore and I've ordered from her ... but you will need to Cmail or TreeMail (she has TreeMail too) her directly to find out if she is still taking other methods of payment. Many sellers will at least take a money order as well as PP.

I finally found some of those little tiny daffodils called 'Rip van winkle'. I really nice bulb company called 'Mary's Garden Patch', anyone heard of or ordered from? She has no comments under WatchDog but is listed. Who knows, maybe I will be the first. So far looks good, I got to the website and it said no shipping after 01-20-12 and it was the evening of the 17th, so I went ahead and put in the order and was hopeful I would get them now but at least I would get them. To my suprise they were shipped the next day and somehow I got them on the 19th, just found out from watchdog that she is in texas. How did she do that, that has got to be the fastest shipping ever and she could very well have blown me off because of the late order. But they hopped right on it and I am very impressed. I received 25 bulbs for 20.00 and I am thrilled because I've been trying to get some of these ever sense I first learned of them and every body was always sold out.
