Wow!

There's going to be some really busy Planters this spring! Hurray!

I have some fragrant daylilies coming from Amador Flower Farm. I've never bought from them before, but I've seen some good reports. Smiling

Red Suspenders - Spider - red/yellow
Scatterbrain - Double - Apricot
Warrior Spirit - White/pink with purple/blue eye
Wind Frills - Spider - Pink
Smoky Mountain Autumn - Lovely Dark Apricot Blush (sort of like an Alstromeria)
Nosferatu or Radar Love (or neither, can't remember) dark pink to maroon/purple

Disregard my reminders to myself... Hilarious!

Is it possible to forget something before you type your reminder? Rolling on the floor laughing ...mere moments after ordering??

Newyorkrita said:Marilyn, I figgure I would have even more bulbs than that already ordered except that I can't because places like Scheepers don't open for 2012 orders until mid May. I have lists here already of thousands of bulbs from Scheepers and Van Engelen (their wholesale division) that I will be ordering when they open for business. Like a list of about 3,000 bulbs. My UPS driver probably feels like a hero after leaving here. He gets that Better-Than-Christmas-Morning smile! Big Grin

However, when it comes the time that there's piles and piles to plant.... been there, too! Whistling

In fact, we're due for some rain, so I'd better get to planting my backlog before more plants arrive, or the ground gets too wet.

I wish the bulbs would come more scattered but they all usually come mid October. Would be nice if some came before that so that I could get them planted already.

It was a lot of work and very difficult area to work on. That slope is very steep. I managed to fit four rows of daylilies along in there. Up top are some daffs and lilies. I always planned to put some bulbs there but haven't gotten to it prior to this.

Hilarious! Rolling on the floor laughing

It used to be in grass. The only way to cut the grass was with a weed wacker as it is too steep for using a lawn mower. The digging of the holes for the waylilies was difficult. It will not be that easy to plant the tulip bulbs in there either but it sure should look good.

A nice full planting on a slope makes for a wonderful display; more effort to get it, but worth it. Smiling
