Could you please tell me how large Crimson Sweet watermelon grow? I have one that is about the size of a softball, but the outside color (light and dark green stripes) already looks as it would at maturity. I'm hoping for it to get much larger, of course.

Softball size does sound small especially since Crimson Sweet generally runs in the 20 to 25 pound range! The ultimate size will depend on the soil and especially on the moisture the plant receives while the melon is forming since melons are primarily water. Try to make sure your melons receive an ample supply of water while they are forming for the best results. Maturity is judged by the color of the ground spot (it should be yellow on the bottom where it touches the ground) and also by the stem tendril which should be turning brown.
