Garden.org Support Page

I'm new to the site, how do I find my way?

There are just a few things to learn that will help you a huge amount.

The Garden.org homepage is where most new things show up for you, and it is always changing with new things to see. You can get to the homepage by clicking on the Home icon (that looks like ) on the top-left of the page, or by clicking on our logo also on the top-left.

If you have made a post to our forums, and you want to see if anyone replied, click on the person icon on the very top-right of the page, then click on "Your Posts". That page will show you a full list of all the threads that you are participating in, and for each thread the page will also tell you if there are new replies that you haven't seen.

Also at the top, notice the bell icon (). If it turns red, that means you have a notification from us! Click on the bell to see what's new.

At the top of the page you will also see dropdown menus, like "Learning Library", "Plants Database", and so forth. If you're on a mobile device, those dropdown menus are under the menu icon ( ). Use those dropdown menus to access all the main areas of the site.

If you have a question about gardening, click on "Ask a Question" in the blue footer area at the bottom of the page.

If you have a question about using the site, then visit our Site Talk Forum and ask there. You will also find helpful information in our Welcome and Help Center forum.

You might see a green thumb icon in various places around the site. It looks like this: and when you see it, you can click on it to give a "thumbs up" to the post it's attached to. It's similar to the like button on facebook.

You will also notice an icon of an acorn that looks like and this can be clicked on to give some acorns to the person who made that post. It's an extra special way to thank someone for quality posts.

If you're wanting to sit back and read about general gardening information, visit our Learning Library (using the dropdown menubar at the top).

There's a lot to see and do here, so have fun and don't be afraid to click around! We hope you enjoy the site.
