I am trying to identify a plant. It is like a small tree (about 8ft. tall) and gets white clusters of flowers in summer. the flowers look just like hydrangea but they are only white. I've seen it in someone's yard but they don't know what it is either.

I'm guessing the plant in question is Japanese Snowball (Viburnum plicatum). These shrubs can be grown like trees (with a single trunk) and the flower clusters are quite similar to hydrangea.
