|Sorry I don't know the correct term here but my amaryllis gave me "babies" instead of flowers this year. Can I get it to flower or should I seperate the baby bulbs and wait until next year?
|Sounds as though your amaryllis put all of its effort into reproducing this year. The little offsets should develop roots while still attached to the mother bulb. When you can recognize roots growing from the babies, gently pull the little bulbs off and pot them up. I'm not sure whether the plant will still flower, but you can certainly hope! Provide regular care until the leaves begin to die back on their own. When that process begins, allow the bulb to rest as usual. It should flower on time next year.
