|I am considering buying one of your dwarf midknight valencia orange trees to place in a south-facing picture window in my Midwestern home. I would rather not place it outdoors in the summer to avoid bringing pests inside once it gets cooler. I have a toddler and a cat in the house. Are the leaves poisonous and are the flowers (if any) edible?
|Citrus foliage is not poisonous, nor are the flowers. However, any plant part has the potential to cause distress if ingested by a person sensitive to it, or in great quantities, for example. For your future reference, Monrovia's website can be searched with the attributes Foliage Poisonous and Fruit Poisonous and here are websites that list poisonous plants.
