|I read that I can plan lettuce and broccoli in 1 to 2 gallon containers. Does that mean I should only put 1 seedling in each container?
|The recommendation for container size means that the roots will have enough room to support the plant in a one or two gallon pot. You can space plants you grow in containers about the same distance apart as those you grow in the ground. Leaf lettuce should be planted 8" inches apart, but you can start with plants closer together in a container and harvest the baby plants to thin them. Broccoli plants should be about 18" inches apart, so one per container will give each plant ample growing room.|
