Can I put them at my east/south window in my air cond. bedroom, til the next cool front? It gets direct sun til mid morn. bright indirect til 5pm. the permanent spot gets direct noon sun.

I don't think your pansies will be happy indoors. The light isn't intense enough to promote good growth and flowering - unless you have gro-lites or other supplemental lighting. I'd keep them in the shade outdoors (an hour or two of direct morning sunshine will be fine) and then I'd collect some seeds or allow the seeds to spill onto the ground all by themselves. When the original plants die down in the heat, the seeds will remain dormant and will sprout on their own when the weather conditions are just right. You can expect them to pop up in November or December and grow nicely until March. Best wishes with your pansies!
