The seeds of the persimmon are large, brown and flat.
I recently was gifted a bushel basket of ripe Fuyu Persimmons. They were excellent eaten raw. I later cut them in thin slices and used my dehydrator to make Persimmon chips. They turned out perfectly, and are delicious! I also made a Persimmon Syrup to use for pancakes. That was good, but we still like our old Maple syrup and Coconut syrups the best.
So what happened to 'Caramel Cocktail' and its pollinator 'Sugar Daddy'? It won awards, and then disappeared. I've searched to be able to purchase these, and they are nowhere to be found....
One of the best Oriental persimmons available. Mine produced several fruit on Year 3, nearly 50 fruit on Year 4, close to 300 fruit in following years.
