I grew my 'Irish Flirt' violets from a leaf from a trading friend. The leaf was so small but rooted easily in water & made 3 sprouts, which grew slowly but well as they stayed small. I posted pictures of this cute mini with its dime-size double white with green tinted blooms. The plants never got over 3" wide & only 2" high. I grew them on a wire shelf of african violets by an east window that got filtered morning sun about 4 hours, then they were under a SunBlaster light about 8 hours. They are easy to grow, but slow, and they really stay small if you are limited for space.
