Posted by flaflwrgrl (North Fl. - Zone 8b) on May 8, 2012 9:03 PM Commonly called Twinflower it is found throughout the state of Florida. It is a native & occurs naturally in Fl, Al, Ga, S.C., & Texas. Grows equally as well in dry conditions as it does in moist conditions. It's common name arises from it's habit of forming flower buds in pairs on the stem opposite each other & they usually open at the same time. [ Reply to this comment | |
