A lot depends on whether they are your own kids/ grands, or not.

When I went to check on them, I found something unexpected. They threw our garden flowers and foliage into their water table. They pulled off peonies, geraniums, roses, hosta and daylily leaves, Oakleaf hydrangea leaves, etc. and floated them in the water, and it was surprisingly beautiful. And it smelled divine!
I took photos and told them they made art, and they told me they "thought [I'd] be mad." This made me think about priorities and to remember what should be my gardening philosophy: "flowers are for picking!"
