My wavy-leaf 'Black Prince' appears to be getting ready to bloom again? It flowered a while back, and I've since trimmed the dried stalk off. Just found it doing this:

This photo also made me realize how badly it needs a dust bath.

Those are really pretty. I wish my climate was appropriate for them.

I'd love to make a succulent rock garden. Best I can do outdoors is some gardens with sempervivums though. Too cold over here... There's a snowstorm out there right now actually.

Macrocentra said:Echeverias are incredibly diverse, and are found in a wide variety of leaf shapes, colors and textures. They can be particularly eyecatching when in full bloom, and their beautiful rosette shapes make a lovely addition to any garden. I'm sure we all have at least one in our collections (or five... or ten...)

And... they make wonderful photo subjects! So let's see those Echies!

That mystery echie looks remarkably like a plant I had a while back. The grower called it Echeveria pelusida. I have also seen it spelled pelucida. It doesn't seem to be a well accepted name.
I have found that coffee, tea, and rose can all agree on one thing... water everyday.

For comparison here are a few blue Echeverias on the patio this afternoon... starting with 2 runyoniis of different sizes, one in part shade and the other in day-long sun.

Thumb of 2020-12-10/Baja_Costero/677d4f Thumb of 2020-12-10/Baja_Costero/ee573f

and this plant is "Black Prince" x runyonii and it has closed rosettes pretty much no matter what.

I have two Echeveria Ellen plants. The initial plant is seen in the first photo. It often has blisters on the leaves, which is said to be caused by certain bacteria particular to this species.

The plant in the second photo was from a leaf of the original plant. It has got no blisters. Is it possible that the mother plant didn't passed the bacteria to the offspring?

Nice color on that "Lola". Thumbs up

I'm not seeing any blisters on the leaves of "Ellen" and I'm not aware of bacteria specific to Echeverias. I see no advantage in leaf deformities related to bacteria, fungi or any other microorganisms. So I would go out of my way to remove affected plants from my collection. I cannot imagine how one would spread such an infection from one plant to another, having gone out of my way to avoid having one in the first place, so I guess I don't have much to offer there. A little 'Black Knight'. Window isn't bright enough right now with the winter gloominess. So I'm going to relocate this guy under my lights once I take my plantlets out of the propagation trays that are currently using the space.
