I hope that everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!
Today was a great day for planting bulbs, it was in the mid 40's and sunny. I had on several layers, and had to remove some, because I got too hot once I started working.
I'm thrilled to finally have the front garden done. I planted 100 Moris Gudanov tulips in my 2 lawn beds where we used to have Kwanzan Cherry trees. The beds where a hot mess where they ground down the stumps, and left the dirt and debris on top of my pine straw, and buried my bulbs previously planted there.
The last 143 of MG were planted in front of my left rose bed.
80 Parrot tulips were planted in front of my right rose bed, and at either end of the bed that contains my Laurapetalums.
I also potted up some bulbs I'm forcing. I did 4 each of Hyacinth Jan Bos, Carnegie, and Delft Blue. I also did 18 Paperwhite Ziva.
We're getting some warmer weather over the weekend. Hopefully, I can get the rest of the CB bulbs planted, only 300 more to go before the Van Egelen bulbs arrive.
The not so exciting part of today, while I was planting in one of the lawn beds, I dug up a small snake, Eeeeewwwww! I sent it
flying with my bulb dibber. Hopefully, it will go back into hibernation.
