"you can add any link (URL address) to your link menu thingie, including threads. But you can only bookmark threads or parts of threads or pages that have the little bookmark icon at the bottom right. Bookmarked pages have to be accessed through your profile "

Yes, what Joanna said.

and, if I'm understanding what you meant, Joanna -- I think it would be a great idea to be able to add a link by clicking on the "links" icon at the top right side of the page! Thumbs up

I know, right? I'm getting cantankerous in my old age! If I have to look for something or click more than twice, I get annoyed! Tch tch tch.... Rolling my eyes.

It's especially cool because I've been a day late and a dollar short on the whole link trip. (I know. I'm often a day late and a dollar short.) Until late last night I didn't realize we had what someone called a 'link thingie'. I did add some links and now I understand.

Thank you to the 'complainers' and thank you to dave for putting in a fix!

My bad. No one said 'link thingie'. What was actually said was 'link menu thingie'.

I wasn't going to name names.

Now I have a suggestion. Since I had never used the link thing before last night, it would be nice if the the chosen link would open in a new tab. Or maybe it does and I didn't set my preferences correctly. Anybody?

No, you're right, it doesn't. BUT, there's a button on your keyboard that, if you hold it down when you click something, the something will open in a new tab. On Macs, it's the command key. For a PC, I think it's the Windows key, but I'm not sure. It's one of those though. Try and let us know?
