Beautiful photos,

Those raised beds deserve a prize!
Don't have that...but have an acorn!
Don't squat with yer spurs on!

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved

I love your water feature, Jo Ann.

@piksihk Betsy, the Ipomoea pictured below I got the seeds from you.

I went out to my winter sown jugs and brought in 3 more that I was afraid would be too cold for the seeds. The 3 I just brought in have sweet bush seeds in them that I got from someone else. I will have to look up who gave them to me. I put them in my small green house that I have in the garage. Below are pictures of the jugs I brought in on January 12 and Feb. 2. I brought in three that had Moon Vines in them and one that had Passiflora Incarnata in it. So far the Passiflora has not sprouted.

This is an Ipomoea Muricata Lavender Moonvine. Brought in 1/12.

This is an Ipomoea Alba Moonflower Evening Glory. I just potted this one from the winter sown jug. This is my first time trying these plants. Brought in 2/2.

I am so excited and am praying that they continue to do well. I still have about 3 months before it's time to plant outside.

I am trimming, composting and fertilising for the coming of autumn and potting for the plant sale in April to raise money for the island's library.

It is so terribly hot to do antything here: 33 celsius. Thank goodness there was some rain last night. That was wonderful but the mosquitos thought so too.

But the islands have the following in their favour.

These are Banksia integrifolia, Coastal Banksias.

It always fascinates me how the Crinum lilys grow so well on rocky headlands.

The Pandanus palms are spectacular too.

The stunted dune vegetation is also worth a look.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Pulled out the tall stuff that I left for the birds this winter. Prepping a couple areas for burning down what's left and having a clean slate for the season so the new stuff can easily pop through.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
Well--it has been about 3 weeks that I have not been able to post anything here --b/c my computer has continually crashed and I have lost touch with all my friends on NGA. My SIL has been here all day helping out. He installed Windows 7-which dumpwe Windows XP out the door. -So i have new things to deal with here.

I do not know who I am "talking to'--but I really want to get back to my
"family" ---the MID ATLANTIC GARDENING FORUM.
So far--I am just happy I got back to this site. Now--I need to find out how to
get back to the Mid-Atlantic Gardening discussion sites on the "NGA".

If anyone from my site is reading this--I need to find out how to get back to
my sites so I do not lose my sanity.

I may need to write to Dave to help me out in all this. Thanks--Gitagal.

DH and I spent the morning working outside and I am paying for it now.....It was a marvelous day. It started out at 51 and I started out with a jacket but soon took that off. I planted a couple of pots of pink muhley grass and an agapanthus. DH got a new lawn tractor yesterday and he has been tinkering with it, as well as the new cart. He insisted on hauling a small bucket of dirt for me which I could have easily carried, but he insisted.
