Sherry your gardens are lovely! My crepe myrtle doesn't bloom until long after my iris. The myrtle are really summer bloomers in the south.

And an off topic, not really a complaint but- this is the 5th day in a row that the site banner has been an amaryllis. I realize not much is growing in January, but I wish it would get mixed up a bit. Give other plant groups some love too.

@gemini_sage

Sorry if this has already been suggested but there are a lot of posts here and I didn't look through them all. One of the space age you posted early in the thread reminded me of this. I used to grow it.

My Crape Myrtle blooms July-August. Maybe I should think about a complimentary rebloomer to go near them.
I've got lots blooming right now... everything is easily a month early.
Thank-you Mary Ann!

Celia, your NOID has some white color around the beard area, but I can't see that in the data base pic. Just using a picture alone makes it hard to ID, do you know anything else about the iris? its age or where you got it, ect?

This was a gift from another gardener who didn't know what it was. There is no white in mine. The light was kind of harsh that day.

I guess you didn't notice the articles on the right side on the Home page under the "We're Celebrating Hippeastrum and Amaryllis!", this is Amaryllis week. Thumbs up

Barbara, I don't recognize most of your Noids...and am in the middle of a project so no time to sleuth around right now...but Tag 8 looks like one I have:

Her Royal Highness

Tag 12 looks like

Joyce Terry

Tag 41 looks like

Ringo

depending on when you got it Tag 20 looks like Dutch Custard, but that is a 2008 iris so probably not:

Dutch Custard

Maybe someone else will recognize some of the others. Shrug!

Sherry, gorgeous garden and such an inviting photo!

Barbara, I'm especially drawn to those pinks and blues. I love yellow and white bicolors too.

I want to try some more LAs, the 3 I grow are great garden plants and trouble free. Yellows and Whites I find look extra fresh at the time they bloom, when Lilies and Daylilies and so many colorful perennials have started blooming. I've just got blue, purple and blackish now. They have some of the brightest flashes!
