I think Im really liking the colors in Butterscotch Ruffles. Never heard of LB, looks like a nice deep red, not orangey.

Nothing new in the garden as far as varieties, but I wanted to show these two photos from today.
Jolyene Nichole: Just a perfect bloom. Certainly not the most colorful or bright, but just so beautiful with a thick texture, I just really like this plant, plus it is rust resistant. It is not a tall plant so just perfect for front row close ups.

Even though single blooms are often very pretty, my goal is to have more photos like the one below, and I hope they get much better as the season progresses. I want clumps with lots of blooms, this is the best so far this season.

Lyle627, could you post that Solar Blue Angel poly. I wanna always be able to refer to that beauty. I just loved it.

Felt funny putting the 627, but I thought the system would give you a nudge if your user name was mentioned Whistling Big Grin

[quote="jon"]Here are today's blooms:

I'm jealous Smiling . Goes to show how much variance there is from one part of Texas to another, I guess. Last year my earliest blooms were toward the end of May and that is probably going to be true this year as well. Not the same ones though. Those last year were classified as extra early bloomers and they won't be blooming that early this year. I just hope one of them blooms. It's not giving any hint of putting up a scape yet.

I just realized this year, that putting up a scape early does not mean it will be the first to bloom. It seems some daylilies take for ever to bloom after they put up scapes, others put up scapes and then bloom in a short period of time.

Hello again,

It seems that the only ones blooming currently are those I posted last. I have lots of bud on scapes but will be a couple weeks before they share their beauty...

Here are a few recent photo's I took of the same ones again.
