Elaine, I wonder why your Little Stars is blooming so much later than mine? Mine is already finished for the year. Nice Spathoglottis. I should go out under the oak and look for mine.
Congrats, Lindsey, nice Copper Queen!
There are some new bloomers out in the OC. First up is Cattlianthe [Ctt.] Haleahi Serenity (C. Valentine (1900) x Gur. bowringiana)
Next is one I love, Rlc. Thompsonii (Rlc. Digbyano-Purpurata x C. gaskelliana)
What do you know, another Vanda blooming for me! V. Pedro Bonetti (V. Doctor Anek x V. Fuchs Gold). It used to be an ascocenda.
This next one is a small Epi. ciliare.
A popular spider orchid, Brs. Memoria Fritz Boedeker 'Witch Doctor' (Brs. arcuigera x Brs. Rex).
Epicatanthe [Ett.] Volcano Trick 'Fireball' (Ctt. Trick or Treat x Epi. stamfordianum) just opening.
Finally, Bulb. Sunshine Queen (Bulb. mastersianum x Bulb. corolliferum).

that would be crazy!!! Mine always opened up peachy then turned bright yellow.
I got another plant from my wish list today..
Lc. Tropical Pointer 'Cheetah' BM/JOGA
and..not on my wish list but an Impulse buy that I could NOT walk by!
My monster Ornithophora radicans starts opening. The plant to the right is C. Chocolate Drop 'Kodama' opening the first of 5 spikes this year.
'Kodama' , a couple of preliminary pics
And Bc Binosa 'Tetraploid' opens the second spike, two more to go.
Elaine, I am happy the 'Kodama' quit sulking!
A few years ago I divided my plant which had totally climbed out of its original pot, and had three foot! long roots. I split the plant but had to damage some of those roots. Finally I see again a bunch of new growths and the roots start growing again too. The plant is btw bare root anchored in a home-made wire contraption to be able to hang it up.

Mine is sulking, too after a hard time this summer. I do think that a mount or basket will help it to recover so that is my next re-potting project. Hoping the new fert and watering regime will give it a boost, too. Others are already showing promise.

This should be good. I can't wait to see the picture.
Beautiful show, Ursula. Your orchids look extremely happy and healthy. Good growing.
During my browsing today at the Orchid Expo, I came across a vendor who had a Dendrobium just like one of my NOIDs. I'm thinking about adopting the name so I can enter mine in shows. The first pic is the file pic from OrchidWiz for Dendrobium Sonia. The second pic is my NOID. What do you think? Close enough?
