Carol.Joyce Carr was a prolific australian hybridiser who used the 'Liberty' prefix for most of hers.
Liberty glow is the most widely grown one.It was registered in 1980 but was probably around before that as Kathy.
Yes Mike I was born in Pommyland but nicked off as a teenager to pastures greener.Best thing I ever did.
I am now 100% Australian,and lovin it!
Lots of epis out now.I will post pics asap.

I agree, That liberty glow is amazing. Funny how we are all drawn to the bright and beautiful.

Greenhouse restoration is coming along. I managed to buy 1 of those mini walk in greenhouses ( from big lots) and my son will be putting it up for me. I will use it for the things that aren't quite as tender and some of my hardier tropical plants and thus will be able to make space in the other greenhouse for everything else.

Our night time temps are dropping to 39° this weekend, so I still have a lot of rearranging to do. Smiling

Yes Carl. There are limits on what to pay for epis.
We had a bozo here selling the latest 'kiwi' hybrids for $200 a cutting. Madness.

Sorry to hear about you folks having greenhouse/weather problems.
I had a huge wooden pergola,(the preferred method of growing epis here) fall over sideways some years ago.....sure makes for a lot of cuttings and noids!
Today.

Just thought I'd post the best of the blooms I have had to date this year:

Kiwi Honey Bright small and very pretty, flowered in mid Sept and more buds coming now.

This is another NOID, it was supposed to be Prof Ebert but the growth is all wrong. But I love the bloom anyway. One of my favourites.

I agree with Ursula! I love seeing these blooms. That Kiwi Honey Bright is gorgeous.

Mike, the little plastic greenhouse is 6x8, It will have 12 shelves and I am hoping my son can get it put together for me over the weekend. With temps dropping in to the 30's here this weekend, I am wanting to get things protected. He unfortunately has had to work extra hours, so free time is at a premium. LOL
