Red Grace is reminiscent of Red Charm which I love. Both have the larger flat guard petals and the smaller slender center ones. Mackinac Grand is probably the cleanest purest red I have seen 'in person' and seems to me to emulate a rose. Super strong stems to hold up those large flowers. I still put a hoop around it to keep the outer stems more upright. Were it is a larger spot I could just let it sort of spread out. It would be gorgeous.

gray, your Red Charm, and white peony is beautiful.

I've got so many plants blooming right now, we've had temps in the 80's this past week, now a lot of heavy rain over the weekend Sighing!
Here are a few of my plants.

Lady Orchid is about to bloom, this is the 1st year a lot of the blooms didn't ball, and not open.

This was supposed to be peony Vivid, it was started from a very small root in a pot, than planted in the garden last year. It looks more like Sarah Bernhardt

This is supposed to be Moonstone, this year the back of the blooms appears pale pink, they were fully white last year.

Annette, your garden is stellar! So many gorgeous peonies, and I love how you've combined them with clematis vines!

Just found this thread, too many beauties to comment on all, but thanks everyone for sharing, and keep 'em coming!

'Raspberry Ice' was small this year. I am guessing too many frosts and freezes.

I had one like that, and I pulled it thinking it was a weed!
Quickly replanted and watered it!
But it just looks like a dry stick, with pink bud further down.

It has similar lookalikes in various catalogs but this one does not match the bloom times. This is always the first of the regular peonies to bloom. Roselette and Early Scout are first but they are hybrids with fern leafs. This was one of my Walmart 3-in-a-bag purchases nearly 20 years ago.

To disbud or not to disbud? That is a question... I have buds on almost all stems coming from 2015 fall planted peonies....Old Faithful - 7 stems, 7 buds, divided Etched Salmon - 5-6 stems each and I already can see 3-4 buds on each, not sure about the rest as they are still unfurled. 2 divided Red Charms - about 5 stems each and at least 3 buds...Rest - similar. I guess I am being greedy and should cut them, but wait for another year! Oh dear... Confused

'Annemieke' - this peony is not registered with the APS. My friend picked it up for me from Lowe's in 2013, and this year is its first decent bloom. Costa Farms lists it, and the sticker on the Lowe's pot had them as the grower. It is really nice.

Here it is after several rain showers moved thru.

Love all your peonies, LG but Goldilocks steals the show. Wowee! What a stunning bloom! How old is your Goldilocks? I read that it will bloom this form only after it is very established.
