'Judith Eileen' from a last year's transplant. It only had 2 stems this year as a juvenile plant. Some fragrance but not nearly as nice as 'Fragrans'. Next up may be 'Hot Chocolate'.

In case anyone wondered how a 75-year old man has the handle of 'oldgardenrose', this is a very old one-time bloomer with a pure rose fragrance. Found it in a wooded area and dug a root.

I think I have the first white but have no idea of its name. They all look great.

If white one is a tall plant with nice fragrance then it could be Festiva Maxima.

My white with red flecks is tall with thick stems but has no fragrance. A Walmart special from about 10 years ago.

Jerry, your rose is gorgeous and so healthy. Looks like it's really happy in your yard. Hot Chocolate looks fantastic too.

Just lovely!!! I don't have many herbaceous peony, did brought some last fall but no buds yet, I just watching everyone ' s pictures and

'Judith Eileen' fully opened. Not really a remarkable peony but has a nice fragrance and form.

I was out at dusk last night and looked over and this scene looked so cool. The solar lights were just coming on. I used the dusk setting on my camera to take it.

LG, your Miss America is very different from mine. Bearing in mind it looks like it is on the mature end of its bloom cycle. Mine is simpler with fewer petals. It starts out a soft pink in the center than goes white as it opens.
