Hurray! If I could make this little icon clap his hands over his ears and eyes, then you would know what I'm trying to say. I'm not looking, not, not. But just in case I decide to, where would I find them? I'm saying , just in case Whistling

Debbie, look what I found for you. Just a little peek won't hurt anything. Whistling
Here is one at Perennial Obsession. I love that particular Orostachy.
And I just found this nursery today. Anyone ever buy from them? http://www.bluebirdnursery.com...

I've never bought from that nursery, but I bought two they carry from my local nursery: O. Iwarenge and O. aggregeatus. They are big enough plants that, if they suvive the winter, there should be some to share next year. I found after our hail storm that pieces of O. Iwarenge root easily.

Like pieces of a leaf? Can you take a photo for us Tabby? I would love to see what it's doing. They should survive your winter easily.
I think the Orostachys are becoming easier to find, or maybe I just wasn't looking before. : )

I must say, I am tempted to buy a few plants and give them a try. Whistling

Most of what I got came from Mesa Gardens. Their web site is not user friendly, but you get great plants you can't find elsewhere.
When you see what you want you email them. It may take a few days to hear back from them. http://www.mesagarden.com/succ...

Lynn, it's more like rooting broken peices of sedum.
O. Iwarenge has stems. Here's a picture of some stems I stuck in a pot with some semps. It's a poor picture taken with my phone. You can see some hail damage, but there's new growth at the top.

Tabby, thank you so much. I didn't know they would do that way. I just learned something new today. Group hug

O. aggregatus and O. iwarenge both grow long skinny stems. I was wondering if the little rosettes on the ends just root or what. Gives me an idea of what I am going to do with these two plants.

I planted my little pots of Orostachy from Mesa Gardens into larger containers. I still have about 5 or 6 more varieties to get into containers.

Orostachy aggregatus and Orostachy iwarenge

Yeah, I bet they would really take up a lot of room if you just let them spread out wherever they wanted. to.

I picked up both of those locally this year. They grow denser in bright sunlight.
