That is so exciting Sandi. I just love the leaves on those two Orostachys. That is going to be one amazing container by summer time.

Looks like my Orostachys spinosa that fasciated is at least partially dying off. Not sure what to do. Wonder if I should take it up and inspect the roots and maybe clean away the dead leaves?


I need to go out and take another photo from the full front, so you can see how the plant seems to be developing into two plants.

I lost the tiny clump of Orostachys minuta to blooming.

Lynn, the entire clump with all the separate offsets was lost? Why didn't the other little ones survive if only one bloomed?

After that photo all of them bloomed and seemed to suck the energy out of the few very tiny remaining offsets.

Sounds like it was a horrible ending for those so tiny...

It was sad. I am still trying to get over it.

I saw that too. I think it's just a glitch in their system - it never used to be like that.

I was given this hybrid recently as a gift. She called it O. Smock Valley Hybrid. It's a beautiful color.

Wow, that does have nice color. It will be great to see how it does over time. Do you know what it is hybrid from?
