The promised rain added up to about 12 drops yesterday, guess it was one of those 85% of the time wrong days. Whistling Temps are low 80's with dew point in the 60's, humidity is making the air feel so thick. A line of hit or miss storms working their way through for tonight. Noticing scapes up everywhere in the garden as I tread the paths...not much to do while waiting for the show to begin. I've been finishing the spring cleaning that was interrupted by garden work. Thumbs down Would much rather be outside...

Driving in severe storms is so scary during the day, can't imagine doing it at night in the dark. Glad you made it home ok Linda!

They are calling for a high of 97F, which means it could get to 100F at my place. In other words, nothing new

Last I checked it was 85 here with a 57% humidity and a dew point of 68. When I got up it was 84% humidity. Crying We did get about .15 of rain in the night and are still under clouds in and out and more rain may come. This high humidity is not comfortable . Not used to that here, but if it brings moisture, so be it! Thumbs up

Storm line came through over night with a mild thunderstorm that dropped 6/10th's of an inch of rain. Wishing it would have been more. Some areas north and west did get the more, severe storms resulting in flash flooding of roads. Today was beautiful after the fog burned off, 81f with light breeze and the humidity back down to comfortable levels. Feeling energetic again, only 5 days left on the Lyme meds and I finished the room I've been cleaning this morning so I decided to go back to working on the garden bed redo/reconfiguration. Hope I'm not making a mistake ripping edging up and moving it around this close to bloom. In two weeks the garden will be open and the last thing I need or want is an unfinished mess! As long as the weather stays nice I should be able to get things back together....I hope.

HOT DIGGITY DOG DIGGITY!!

We had .57 inches of rain today. No sarcasm at all, that is nearly 5% of our total annual rainfall!

Just to celebrate, here is someone really tired of weeding;

My hair has great volume this morning. Hilarious! It is 73 F outside with 97% humidity! Blinking We received .75 of rain last night and we never heard a thing so it must have been a good gentle soaker. Hurray! We are under heavy clouds that are just kind of oozing this morning with a 90% chance of more rain. It has been a good Monsoon season so far and it came a couple weeks early. Thumbs up

After reading so many of you got some rain, I am distressed beyond belief . We on the other hand still have had narry a drop . I simply can't water 43 gardens so the plants are on their own . I do use water to weed because it is the only way to get them out of what has now become heavy Appin blue clay cement .

So as I go along , some plants do get some little bit of water . I think in the 30 years we have lived here that this has unequivocally been the worst spring , and now moving into summer that we have ever experienced here. We always have a droughty month in August moving into September but this year it started in May and simply has not eased up at all. So if anyone questions why I call where I live the armpit of Canada .....your question has been answered

I can understand how you feel Signet as I have 100's of pots to water daily. This is a real treat for me having a day or two not having to water. I certainly hope you get some rain soon. I guess I have never thought of Canada as having droughts! Living here in this desert I always picture every place north of us as lush and moist. Hilarious!
