I did that a few years ago Holly with my Autumn Joy. Cut it back to the ground, it ended up blooming anyway. : )
I didn't have time to plant the cuttings so just stuck them in the compost pile, tops up. Everyone of them grew. Those are some tough plants.

I do know my Autumn Joy as none of the others look like it. I also know my Chocolate Drop and Chocolate Ball. Those are easy. Some of my ground cover sedum I know at sight and some I don't. Don't want to clutter the brain up to much.
