Rita which sedum is that. Very interesting the way the flower heads are forming. Can't wait to see it in full bloom.

Thank you Holly. We are way behind this year. The above Autumn Joy photo is from last year.
So far I haven't had that problem since I grow all the tall type in full sun. They get to leggy here if they don't get enough sun. Even without blooms the foliage texture and color are beautiful.

Well it has been struggling a bit getting a good start and very slow to put up new shoots. Really this spring it was just weighed down and crowded by the spring bulb foliage. By the time I cleaned up there were just a few very long and floppy stems. Some of them were solid green not variegated. I figured just cut it and see. Very glad that I did but there are still some solid green stems. So I yanked them out. All in all I think they will grow much better for my rough handling. I still have the stems I cut off laying in a pile and I might get around to trying to root them in the next few days.

I did that a few years ago Holly with my Autumn Joy. Cut it back to the ground, it ended up blooming anyway. : )
I didn't have time to plant the cuttings so just stuck them in the compost pile, tops up. Everyone of them grew. Those are some tough plants.

Rita if it weren't for the tags I would never know what I have. Rolling on the floor laughing I do know my Autumn Joy as none of the others look like it. I also know my Chocolate Drop and Chocolate Ball. Those are easy. Some of my ground cover sedum I know at sight and some I don't. Don't want to clutter the brain up to much. Whistling

That Sedum is amazing Rita! Do the uprights propagate by cuttings as readily as the ground huggers?

Evan the upright sedum root readily from cuttings. They amaze me on how fast they grow roots. : )

Charleen Ghost Plant (Graptopetalum paraguayense) is not a sedum, but is in the same family of Crassulaceae. Both sedum and semps belong to the same family.

Your photo looks like Kamtschaticum, the non variegated variety. The below photo is of Kamtschaticum variegatum, the variegated form. I may be the one that sent that to you as I do have that one. I don't have any photos of it so will take some in the next couple of days and post here. : )

Just Red Cauli, from mamajacks Walters co-op, maybe Autumn Joy and a couple of ground cover types. I'll post a pic of AJ when it blooms.

Here's Red Cauli about a week after planting.

I was out this morning with my camera getting a new pic of the one I cut back a few weeks ago and it is growing back nicely. I will come back and post the picture later when I have more time. I also have a few other pics to post as well.
