Chantell.... Sad thing is I've never taken pictures of my plants, or many pictures at all.
I've had some awesome Bonsai over the years, and no pictures.. Grumbling

Glad I found this site... Will have to get better with camera, and get those photos....

Hi. Just a reminder that our swap is coming up in just a couple weeks now on Saturday, Sept 10.

Have been thinking about the time. Since we will be feasting as well as swapping and catching up, does 12-4 work?

Aww...Chantell, That's awful nice of you to offer... Thank You!

I am now thinking that my phone takes better pictures than my camera.
And, maybe I should read the camera instructions, on how to zoom
in on objects, or set it up for close ups. Think that's one of the problems *Blush*

The other is remembering to take pictures... I just never think to take pictures........ D'Oh!

Tell you what… Why don't you bring the camera with you to the swap and if we're lucky I can answer a few of your questions.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
Lisa--
I have my doubts that one of the two remaining Maya cuttings is going to make it.
It is not tight in the soil (bad sign). I am afraid it is slowly rotting--like the rest of them.
The remaining one is OK. I can tell. You and Chantelle can "duke it out"...Just LMK the result.

Hopefully, I will be able to take some woody stem-cuttings in October,
just before I bring them into my Shop, and root one for you. Best time to do this.
Then i will be able to give you the rooted cutting at the Seed swap. Hope it makes it.
So sorry--but they just were not ready to be cut back and rooted.
Nature in charge here... Crossing Fingers!

Judy (coleup)--I think I can manage to dig you up one of the GBL's.
But--you have to promise to plant them in a bed asap. I hate to see this die off.
There is NOT just one stem--but a cluster of stems that grew out from one plant.
Looking at it--there is NO way I will separate hem. Lots of new growth coming too from the roots.

CHANTELLE--David has this plant as well in his woody garden. maybe you can ask him to share a small clump? Since I have never grown this massive plant--I am not familiar with what to do.

David--Question....IF I were to split up the massive roots of this Lobelia--will it grow?
They are pretty tight as one root mass.

Please don't blame me for these shortcommings--This is a live-and-learn for me too..
Grumbling blame the rains and the inhumanly hot weather.
Thank you for understanding...

****All Ric Rac cuttings and X-Mas CC cuttings got potted up today.
Gonna keep them indoors to root. Don't trust this crazy weather.... Gita

Gita - Lisa can absolutely have the cutting. Please just keep me in mind when/if you get any more rooted.

Gita - I am reluctant to advise you on dividing your Lobelia clump sight unseen. That said, clumps can be divided with a sharp knife, though this is hardly the ideal time of year to do this and divisions should be kept moist, out of the sun, and replanted in a timely manner.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
David--Thanks! That makes all my decisions easier.

I DO want them out of my kitchen-side bed and, possibly, put it in my raised bed.
They may look better there against the fence. The light there is so-so, though, as is the soil....

They just need to go from this bed they are in. They take up too much area.

Does anyone have burro's tail (sedum morganianum)? If so, are you willing to pinch off a bit to share? I hear it's easy to root.

Lisa,

@5601Lisa I don't have burro's tail. But have this one.

It's a fuzzy pencil cactus looking type... Can't remember it's name off hand.
It's actually not in the same family as a pencil cactus though.
But I could bring some cuttings if you'd like. Makes a great hanging basket..

I also have a huge Pencil cactus, Fire Stick if anyone wants cuttings...
