Well, I seem to have nearly come to the end of FFOs. HEMEROCALLIS LILIOASPHODELUS is sending up scapes at last. It is nearly 3 months late. It is usually like clockwork for the end of August and the beginning of September. It is a mystery why two big bloomers have no scapes coming on at all: Joan Senior and the unregistered Crikey.

Robin let me know how the electronic mosquito repeller goes!

Some seedlings:

Thunderstorm just went through. Some hail and I watched my pods in dread. But all okay and the rain was welcomed. It is so dry.

You will love CITRINA Ginny.

The Thin Man seedling is excellent with its tall scapes and big flowers. And bright - such that I can see it from my office.

The blooms sure do vary. Worth waiting to see them perform in different weather experiences. like cool nights, hot humid ones,

Gleni said:'11cm unid'd light yellow', Bron, looks like Hearts Glee?

I have wondered that. Been waiting for a labelled HEART'S GLEE to flower to compare. Is HG a pure colour, ie a very light yellow with no eye or halo, and a very small throat? It is lovely.

Also lovely is the other light yellow one flowering now. It has a significant green throat, is a slightly darker yellow, and a bit bigger. It is nocturnal.

Hope u got rain but not hail. We got some more. Not a lot but a decent heavy shower. Heaps better than the hot sun and 40 + km/hr wind we had most of the day. And better than the way worse weather others get.

I cannot figure out if this damage to my letterbox was an accident or premeditated and deliberate. Either way I think it would have been difficult to do. Thumb of 2016-12-03/bron/281507

Well, the warnings were for two dangerous thunderstorms in a row, Bron. It was a bit of a let down so to speak. The rain was okay. But I must admit the storms spooked the cats, the wimps.

I have an elderly lady friend in Noosa who is a Koala activist. Someone blew up her letter box in the 70s. Those were the days.

If I were making up a story, I'd say someone in a pickup truck with something like T-bar posts extending over the top of the tailgate backed into it. Shrug!
