I don't care if someone bids against me, that's what auctions are all about. But I will very rarely bid on something someone else is bidding on. No matter who my competitor is, and it doesn't matter if it is an EBay or LA auction. ~Jan

I like this and I hope I have not offended anyone in the past.

I will bid on what I am interested in even if someone else is bidding on it after all it is a auction and that is the way it works. I have been outbid many times but keep watching as the plant is often offered again by the same or another seller. Sometimes it takes a lot of time and patience to get what you want on the LA but to me it keeps it interesting. I feel if the sellers are willing to take the time to grow and sell nice plants they should earn something in return as it is a lot of work not to mention the cost before they even have a plant to sell. The sellers earn my bids and as many as they get on a plant IMHO.

I read somewhere in one of these threads that someone was asking about the mini and small flowered daylilies, a group that I especially love, and wanted us to post pictures. If you want to see some of them, Mark Sattelmeier (Abundantdaylilies on the Lily Auction) has posted a large number of them for auction within the last week, and they still have about a week to go before their auctions close. I recommend people check them out if you want to see these wonderful little beauties!

Abundantdaylilies is one of our favorite LA sellers. We have always been very pleased and have a few coming from Mark in the spring, too.

We got our order today from Bob Selman at Blue Ridge Daylilies. I had bought 2 Dancing On Air TF from the Lily Auction Store. Instead of receiving 6 fans, we got 11 fans! We will have a huge instant clump of blooms next summer. I will space them out a little so both clumps will have some space for growth. It is later than I would prefer to be receiving daylilies, but the other option was to wait until May to receive them when they would be facing a hot, dry summer here. I will throw some alfalfa pellets and milorganite in the holes and mulch well and that should help them to get through the winter. It does not get "really" cold here (for our area of the country) until January, so they still have time to adjust. I am still planting and moving daylilies anyway. He also sent two nice bonus plants that could go in the red, white, and blue bed that I am making. I told him that Dancing On Air was going in this bed.

I got mine today also. You should have a great clump next summer.

Does Mike144mann send more than one fan, even though his auctions are usually for one fan?

I had one or two auctions from him, but they were between 2000-2004 and I can't remember now.

Marilyn, I have not gotten mine yet but I read his reviews and people say they are big but not double. Someone suggested getting a second fan to go with them and that is what I did.
