I have a Rose of Sharon bush/tree and little seedlings sprout up all around it. How can I stop this besides pulling them all up? Can I use Round Up on them?

Since the suckers are growing from the roots of your rose of sharon, you won't want to apply Round Up to the suckers. Round Up is a vegetation killer and it will be transported down to the roots of your plant and kill it, as well. There's not much you can do to stop the suckering other than to dig them out as they appear.
