Chicago Apache is an older daylily that was new in my garden the spring of 2010. I was looking for another great red and this one fit the bill perfectly. Plus, it is very reasonaly priced, so it is affordable to all. This summer, once it started blooming, it was never out of bloom for many weeks, having a very long bloom run. If you love red daylilies, then Chicago Apache is a must-have.

(Marsh-Klehm, 1981) Blooms midseason from June through August. Easy care plant has sunfast color and drought resistance. Herbaceous perennial. Good resistance to rust.

Chicago Apache is a mid-late bloomer for me, and it is one of the last Daylilies in bloom here, Central Washington State. Scapes are over 30", and color holds very well for such a dark red.
