zuzu said: Pruning usually is done once a year or not at all, depending on the age of the rose bush and your location. Deadheading is what you want to do when the flowers are spent. Cut the stem with the spent bloom off the rose bush just above the closest node producing five leaves. That will encourage reblooming.

luciditys said: Thank you! Aw, that is too bad. I'm in the PNW so it's wet and cold for like, 8 months of the year. It has been very dry this summer though, we didn't get any rain for over a month so I've been watering it every few days.
