1 yr old palnt is best for culinary but it is a 2 yr plant, not worth the trouble, tho I know a lot of the different parsleys do not seed well. Most parsleys are easier seeding, but seeds can have short life...By the way- it is hard to do parsley cuttings because they have a root like a carrot that doesn't like to be disturbed- makes cuttings a nuisance, to impossible.
