Good luck.

1, 2, and 4 seem pretty well-recommended (but remember to never leave a a candle unattended).

I wish I had the link to the article I read about using fine steel wool on top of the soil to get rid of gnats. The gnats get stuck in the steel wool and can't get out so they die.

Just checking in to see if the cider traps did any good. I found this today and thought it might be helpful.

hi allie !! sorry for the super late reply, i was busy with college ; v ; thanks for the new reference !!

unfortunately the cider traps did no good. they only caught one gnat and the traps all ended up drying out. but i think my gnat problem is under control now, i haven't seem them flying around me for a few weeks now. i used up all the nematodes (i honestly don't think they did anything) and i crushed up mosquito dunks into the soil and then soaked them to use in the watering can ! i think that's what did the trick along with the existing sticky traps ;W;

I'm glad that worked. I'm now dealing with a gnat problem. I bought some Fox Farms soil that was already infested with gnats and I didn't see them until after I repotted some plants. I'll try your method
