37/19, sun/cloud mix, windy. A few flurries, turning to more snow later this afternoon. We seem to be in the less than 1 inch range, but we're on the borderline, so hard to say.

Char, thanks for thinking of us, no flooding here. We didn't get that much rain yesterday though it rained much of the day, and I think the heavier rains stayed East of us. That's one of the good things about living on a mountain; it all runs downhill. Raleigh and the Triangle always have flooding problems when it rains heavily.

Nan, hope all is well there.

Linda, don't even say it!!! Hope nothing collapses, Christmas Eve or otherwise!

Zoia, glad to hear your roof is fixed, hope you have no further problems with it. Thumbs up

Thanks, Donna. The rain has stopped. Our total was 2.75 inches over Saturday and Sunday. Cool and sunny today. It's still to wet to do much outside, but I'm glad the rain stopped.

It is very windy, dark and pouring rain. My new roof is holding up fine but my picture windows are leaking so there are towels on all the windowsills. It's because the wind is blowing so hard.

Currently 64 degrees Confused and going down to 38 tonight.

I hope you can manage the leaks Zoia. We had that torrential rain last evening. The drain at the bottom of the basement steps couldn't keep up so there was some water that came into the basement under the basement door.

We are seeing a touch of blue in the sky now and the wind should die down soon

Hurray! Ginny, awesome gift! Thumbs up

We're on the east side of a "hill" (what would be a mountain in other places) so not a lot of problems with flooding here either Donna. We just have to manage the "where" of it running down. So glad you and Nan are ok. Sounds like Zoia and Rita are good...glad the roof is fixed Zoia, bummer on the wind and leaky window.

Dark with heavy clouds this morning and rain. Somehow we managed to get into a dry slot as the storm split coming up the river valley around noon. That dropped our rain total down to 1.57. Some areas west and north got between 3 - 5", add in snowmelt from the mountains and there's some serious flooding along the rivers. Winds were as expected mid 20's. Temps were 38 and...62. Blinking That's nuts for Dec. in Vermont.

I am just amazed at the amount of rain falling on the east coast. Blinking
It hit 80 today despite being mostly cloudy. Looks like we are still headed for some very wet days ahead.

Stay safe, all you in the path of the storm! I thought we were going to get it, too, but we missed the worst of it. I really hope none of you has bad flooding.

We have another clear day ahead. Maybe I can get some weeding done. It never ends.

Before the rain, DH and I were able to get over to the neighbor's (the one with the gigantic oak trees) and rake up a bunch of leaves for compost. I may now have enough leaves (with our own leaves) for the coming year. I still find myself eyeing drifts of dead leaves along the side of the road when I drive anywhere! Hilarious!

Currently 19 degrees, snow flurries with about an inch on the ground. Snow began yesterday as a wet snow, temperature plummeted and everything froze so driveway, lane, and roads are icy this morning. High today will be around freezing, low tonight 17. Supposed to be back into the low 50s tomorrow and this will all melt fairly quickly.

We're all good here, thanks Nan. Up north is a mess though. It's heartbreaking to see the news that areas severely flooded in July are flooded again. Some of those folks were just getting back into their homes. All the work done only to be flooded out a second time. Trying to do it again in winter conditions.... Crying

Not much weather today, mostly cloudy, no new precip but everything is so wet and muddy. Sighing! Temps were 26 & 46 with the 46 last night. Hoping the sun coming the next few days will help dry things out.

50/24, big difference from yesterday. Snow is melting in most places. Sunny this morning, partly cloudy this afternoon. No additional precipitation predicted for the next few days. These temperatures are more normal for this time of year.
