Yes, I found a snake tangled in bird netting that was stored in the barn - alas, too late.

Yes, the coachwhip snake. I thought because he was able to hide under bark, he was just an infant.

The only racer I have seen here is a buttermilk racer, no coachwhips have been seen, chuckl. Love your coachwhip!
Push comes to shove, the difference in king snake and broad banded watersnake may be the irregularity of that stripe...
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!

That's interesting! I haven't seen any kingsnakes in the pond but they do climb trees (snakes, not ponds). Smiling

Apparently the Eastern Kingsnakes are on the decline, and yeah, gators climb trees, too, sure never slowed a snake down!

Loved the video! Now i know how my cat Harley catches copperheads! He has only beought home q couple at 2-3'. Sits at the door proundly holding his catch in his mouth! I live on a south facing bluff, central Missouri so get copperheads, rattlers. I like them, they keep down mice. Never had a bad experience with any of them. I keep my eyes open, pay attention to where I am walking, carry a long stick! If I see them, I simply back off, leave them alone, no conflict!
