I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
This is not my pic but they look just like this. My bunch is about 1/3 of the amt shown in this pic. Do I trim? How much? When? Thanks

I'd leave them alone. Let them photosynthesize for the rest of the season.
Then cut them back as you would any other normal looking iris.
They just look a little tired. Maybe sunburned some.

A photo of YOUR iris would be helpful otherwise we're diagnosing someone else's problem.

If you're asking about general care of bearded iris, i cut mine back to about 5 or 6 inches after the first frost. Otherwise keep dead leaves pulled off and keep the ground clean to prevent overwintering critters.
