Here are a few pictures of most of the "greenery" in the solarium. All the plants seem to like the environment, though they have only been in the room for 7-10 days. The plumeria lost a few leaves when they were moved in side, but have now completely stabilized with new growth, lush green leaves (and not a sign of rust), seed-pods!!!!!!!!!!, and flowers. Some of the bromeliad are just beginning to color.

I will post some of the flowers, seed-pods, and newly found information on one of the flowering plants I was trying to identify on the Plumeria forum, "Plumeria 2015".

It is a beautiful piece of glass, Lindsey. Thanks. It came from a church built in the mid-1800's and was demolished in the mid-1900's so that a new church could be built. Apparently the church had no use for the stained glass.

It all looks fantastic, Ken! I can understand your wife not wanting to turn it into a greenhouse, but surely she can't object to what you've got in there. Thumbs up

Kathy is pleased with my influx of plants. Now I'm just filling in some spaces but not expanding. These are tactical measures. Whistling

Thanks, Jim.

I have hung up three of my four large hanging baskets in the solarium. I am having two new, 240V heaters installed in both greenhouses (to replace four 120V heaters) so I told my wife that I have hung those three orchid baskets to make room for the electrician to install the heaters, wink, wink. Maybe once she gets used to those hanging baskets in the solarium, she will allow me to leave them until spring. I did have to do some Spanish moss trimming. It was almost touching the floor.

@Ursula, the one on the far left is your Coelia bella. She seems to be doing fine and continues to put on new growth. I will probably have to divide her in the spring though. She is getting really heavy.

Looking good, Ken. I wouldn't be surprised if you have some fat buds forming right now for Christmas blooming. Delay splitting it if you can, it does take a couple of years to come into its own right again.

I haven't seen anything going on with bud formation so far, Ursula. I don't know about waiting on the division. This basket already weighs more than both of my large Vanda combined.

@Ursula, though the Coelia bella seems to be doing fine, because of its large and numerous short/fat pseudobulbs, does this plant need to stay on the dry-side during the winter months? It is hanging in the solarium and gets very bright light (whatever our "super roof-glass" allows) all day long. I know there is reduction in the infra-red spectrum (and of course the UV is almost totally blocked), since none of my plants show any signs of sunburn.

Ken, the bright light is a good thing, but I would flood it daily under those conditions. I never let mine dry out.
Mine is budding right now. I would bet that yours is too, take a good look at supposedly new growth, see if those are fattening up. Smiling
