The plants of this group are among the best houseplants for a constant stream of blooms and ease of growth. Do you grow Gesneriads? If so, please share your photos and experiences in the comments section after the article.

Thanks, Lee Anne, for reminding me what a great group of plants this is. I used to grow many of the ones you mention when I had a small greenhouse. My favorite was Episcia 'Pink Brocade.' Unfortunately, I found it very challenging to grow one that looked healthy.

Yup, the really pink ones are a tad fussy...better suited to a bowl or terrarium...
