I miss Downtown Abby. I have the DVD set. I'm gonna get busy on those!

I watched the Sound of Music. It's my all time favorite! I own the DVD but love to catch it in TV. I can't believe my girls have never watched it. DD2 kept saying, "They're Nazis!". I told her to watch to the end. It's a long movie. She went home before it ended. DD1 watched it. She wasn't impressed. She says whenever she watched musicals she wonders how they all know the words? I told her, "Uh...Rehearsal?!"

Before SOM, we caught the end of Close Encounters....Another one never seen by the offspring. At the end when the ship landed and the "missing" got off and Aliens showed up, there wasn't a lot of talking. Just that music, you know? DD1 asked, "Is this a Silent Movie?" Dear God! She graduated from college??

I am looking forward to see the Christmas episode of When Calls the Heart...I do hope I can find some way to see it!!

I watched Natural Selection. A sort of grim show.

RGR for Collateral Beauty, very thoughtful movie about the balance of Love, Time and Death. Great Cast, Will Smith, Edward Norton, Keira Knightley, Michael Peña, Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren. Really enjoyed this movie, good for 15 and above, probably more enjoyed by a mature audience 4 1/2 shovels out of 5.

You should play Mel Brook's Silent Movies for her and then tell her to turn the captions off so the sound comes on.

Watched an episode of Westworld, Elf, Castaway, and then Ever After. It was a peaceful Christmas Eve Movie night for me.

Just home from our neighbour's Christmas dinner, day, games of Aggravation, and evening meal (leftover turkey on a bun, and all the fixings). Met her sister & brother in law. Next year, the dinner, etc, is at our place

Watch the I love Lucy Christmas Special. DH mentioned since we both watched the Black and White versions growing up, "Who would have believed that in 2016 I Love Lucy would be playing on National TV at Prime Time?" Then watched the 2 episodes of Dick Van Dyke that followed. Now watching Radio Days. Feels good to relax after a day in the kitchen.

Was out all day yesterday and last night, so I'm about to sit down and watch the Christmas special of Doctor Who.

I believe it is the first movie where Bogart was type cast as a tough guy. I acknowledge that Bette Davis was a great actress but I was never a great fan. However she was indeed beautiful when she was young. Leslie Howard steals the show. Petrified Forest 1936. IMDB 7.6. This is a wonderful play adapted to the screen. Gene
