I usually have hummingbird feeders in my garden.
Today, as I was in the house I heard a bird song that I could not recognize. I went to see what it was and I found these birds in the feeder. I took a photo and sent it to my son who is a bird watcher. He told me that they were "boyeritos" ( Icterus cayanensis pyrrhopterus) .
I saw them three more times in the feeder during the afternoon

Thank you Christine! Thumbs up
They came again this morning. There are always two of them. A couple?
I have been hanging hummingbird feeders for many years and it is the first time that a different kind of bird feeds on them

I was outside with camera and noticed a large bird shadow on the ground so I swiftly swept my hand with camera up and shot this picture of some kind of big bird (well, big for here anyway).

I would guess turkey vulture. I see them often around here, sometimes many at the same time.

That first one looks like a hummingbird. Never heard of one making a very loud noise. I wonder what its name is?

We had thunder storms all night long which seems to have made the hummingbirds very hungry this morning.

Through the window ~

Philip, Your hummer looks like a Rufus rufus. Our usual resident ones are Allen's (Rufus sedentarious). Hard to tell them apart, but Allen's has more green on the back.

Thanks, Carol.. So yes, @wildflowers Mr. Rufus makes loud short-chirps, almost like an electronic device. I am not sure if he's summoning a mate. I would not have found him without the sounds.

This is my first shot of a hummingbird - I normally can't get these guys to stay still. They're extremely spastic and hard to track for a clear shot - at least for me.
