Thanks, Ginny!! I've gotten behind though, and still need to add the whole month of July! I checked my iPad the other day and I have taken over 12,000 pictures this year. Guess how many are flowers??? Only about 11,000...the other 1000 are probably of my cat!!

Thanks for the nice compliment, Karen. It's too early to tell which ones I will register. In their second and third years of blooming they must have at least three way branching and more than 15 buds. It would also be nice if they were to rebloom. Three of my seedlings have already had rebloom in their first year, so that's promising. I'll post some more of my crosses tomorrow.

Doorakian Daylilies are known to make great kids. They are some very special daylilies. Other traits to be passed along besides fantastic colors and great flower size, is their ability to continually bloom for 6 weeks straight. You'd be hard pressed to find better all around parents, in my opinion.

I tried some fun things during the eclipse today. We had 93% of totality here. It did get somewhat dark and the temp dropped 4 degrees. At the peak, I hybridized, using the handful of flowers still blooming. The crosses are not in my program, but it will be fun to see what I get. Perhaps one of the kids will be of high enough quality to register. Of course, y'all know what I'll name it, right?

Here is my Verdant Valley Oranges and Lemons at peak darkness. I crossed it with Prester John, a hose-in-hose double.

I also did a cross of Windham Tiger Eye with Barracuda Bay, a weird cross, but that was my only other choice today.

Love them Larry! Great poly's too Did you have a lot of cloud cover during the eclipse? We had clouds for the first part of it but clear for the end of it.

Unfortunately, it was cloudy the whole time, Ginny.
