I guess, I'm just going to presume that the "abattoir located near a cow feedlot" is slaughtering fed cattle then,
and point out that the
"40% abattoir waste"
could actually refer to ideal composting material considering that the contents of the rumen (aka the paunch) is copious amounts of plant material and bacteria
Also, this is actually standard business in this arena where nothing is wasted!
