Hi & welcome! Congrats on getting blooms on your plant. I'm still waiting for my specimens of this species to bloom.
Surely worth a try but you will probably get much faster results from stem cuttings, though that could increase your wait time for seeing future blooms, if my often-propagated plants are an example.
I've had a couple other Senecio species bloom and when the seed heads looked ripe, I scattered them in various places in pots, flower beds, but none have ever sprouted, even though many of the blooms occurred outside. No idea why. Did your blooms occur outside? If not, likelihood that pollination occurred is extremely reduced for some plants. IDK if Senecios tend to pollinate themselves, or require insect activity. Other plants, like spider plants, tend to produce seeds easily when they bloom inside.
If you get a chance to share a pic of your plant, please do!
