Red Deer, Alberta (Zone 4a)

Lilac cuttings root easily.
Dip them in rooting chemical, and plunge into a pot of soil.
Both old fashion lilacs and the "little leaf" lilacs have rooted this way.
Take the cuttings in the spring.
