I'm so anxious to get started! My hubby & I have started planning the raised beds. Probably will be 4x8 made with 2 rows cinder blocks. My base soil is pretty good, but there's grass there right now. Renting a machine to take out the grass is the first step. I have access to some aged cow manure & some broken down leaves. I'll probably have to get some good soil delivered. I'll try to go as organic as possible, but in the humid south with all our bugs & diseases, it may not be completely possible. I've learned that from my orchard.
